On Sunday July 24, 2016, 11:00 am, Hereditary Chief George Quocksister Jr. will be speaking for the Awhwaoo Tribe of the Laichwiltach Nation to make a statement aboard the Martin Sheen. Chief Quocksister Jr. is addressing his comments to Prime Minister Trudeau and Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould regarding the presence of salmon farms in his territory. The event will take place in Drew Harbour on Quadra Island. He will be joined by members of his family.
Following Chief Quocksister Jr.’s presentation there will be a flotilla with the community and an open house with theMartin Sheen at the dock to meet the crew and Alexandra Morton.

Yes the govt needs to be on notice that all first nations know these fish farms are here illegally, no consulation and now the expansion and more years to the lease, they need consent from First nations first, Gilakasla, HC Robert Mountain
